Abstract: Let K be an algebraic number field with ring of integers OK. An order O in K is a subring of OK containing a Q-basis for the field K. The conductor 𝔣 of O is the largest ideal of OK which is contained in O. Ph. Furtwängler [in 1919] characterized all ideals 𝔣 of OK which are conductors of orders. We investigate orders in purely cubic fields, i.e. K=Q(∛m) where m∈Q is not a cube of a rational number. K can also be written in the form K=Q(∛(ab2)) = Q(∛(a2b)), a, b square free and (a, b)=1. For such fields K, we will discuss how to get the number of all orders with given conductor 𝔣 and describe how they can be obtained.[hide abstract] | |
